Communication of Investigation Results

INVESTIGATIONS (e.g. blood tests, urine/stool samples, ultrasound scans, x-rays)INVESTIGATIONS (e.g. blood tests, urine/stool samples, ultrasound scans, x-rays)requested by WellBN clinicians can take up to a week to be processed by the laboratory or service,but some special tests may take longer.

Outcome of these results will be communicated to you via the following options:

  • Text message to your mobile
  • Message to view results via your SystmOnline or Airmid accounts
  • Or you can phone reception after 11am

Urgent results, with any required action, will always be communicated to you via one of the following methods:

  • Text message to your mobile
  • Call from the admin/reception team
  • Call from your clinician

Results can be viewed in full with any comments/actions through online access to your medical records– if you do not have this option please speak to reception.

IF YOU DO NOT WANT TEXT MESSAGES SENT TO YOUR MOBILE PHONE PLEASE INFORM YOURCLINICIAN OR RECEPTION TO OPT-OUT OF TEXT MESSAGES FOR ALL SERVICES AT WellBN.

NB: Results of investigations requested outside of WellBN (e.g. hospital or other clinics) are the responsibility ofyour specialist to communicate to you and take action as appropriate.
